We All have a Lens

That wall that I took down last week, the one that is now brick covered in plaster dust, it is reminding me that we all have a lens.

The wall is now the backdrop for my video calls. The wall has elicited many comments:

It is inspiring.

It looks industrial.

Is it colder now?

It looks undone.

It looks trendy.

…and my favorite, “Where are you?”

The wall has been a fun reminder that we all have a different lens, different ways that we see the world. We all have different preferences, different sense of aesthetics, different concerns.

None is right or wrong. They are unique to us. And that is the common human experience.
